Omah Lay has stepped into a new chapter with the release of his second studio album, Clarity of Mind, a project that wasted no time making waves as it soared straight to No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria.

Released in the early hours of April 3, 2026, the 12-track body of work arrives four years after his debut album Boy Alone. Even before its official drop, anticipation had reached a fever pitch, with lead singles already amassing over 227 million streams across platforms.

Where Boy Alone was rooted in isolation and vulnerability, Clarity of Mind shifts toward something more resolved. The album feels introspective yet grounded, reflecting growth, healing, and a clearer sense of self. It plays like an open diary—honest, reflective, and intentional.

Pre-release records like “Don’t Love Me,” “Waist,” and “Holy Ghost” laid the foundation, while fresh cuts such as “Jah Jah Knows” and “Canada Breeze” are quickly becoming fan favorites. Tracks like “Water Spirit” and “Coping Mechanism,” featuring Elmah—the album’s sole guest—add further depth to the listening experience.

Production is largely helmed by Tempoe, continuing his strong creative synergy with Omah Lay. Their partnership, which began with Boy Alone, has only deepened, especially following their recent work alongside Davido on the Grammy-nominated track “With You.”

The road to this album wasn’t straightforward. Omah Lay previously disclosed that he scrapped an entire version of the project after accusing someone close to him of replicating his sound, forcing a complete restart.

Still, the confidence surrounding Clarity of Mind is unmistakable. Omah Lay has openly suggested the album could rank among the greatest Afrobeats projects ever, reinforcing his claim as one of the defining artists of his generation.
