British-Gambian rapper J Hus teams up with Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake for “Gold”, a vibrant fusion of UK rap, Afroswing, and amapiano. Produced by Grammy-winner P2J (known for J Hus’ ‘Who Told You’ with Drake), the track blends swaggering bars and Yoruba-infused melodies into a bold, celebratory anthem of pride and perseverance. Dropping after J Hus’s sold-out Royal Albert Hall show and under his new EMPIRE deal, Gold signals a fresh chapter for him.

Asake’s catchy refrain and J Hus’s charismatic verses highlight their diasporic roots and unshakable confidence. Already hailed as a cross-continental summer hit, Gold marks J Hus’s first release since Beautiful and Brutal Yard and follows Asake’s launch of Giran Republic.
