Grammy Award-winning Nigerian superstar Tems has launched The Leading Vibe Initiative, a groundbreaking program dedicated to supporting young African women pursuing careers in music. Designed as a platform for empowerment, the initiative provides access to vital resources, professional training, and networking opportunities for emerging female artists, producers, and songwriters across the continent.

The program made its debut in Lagos on August 8–9, where 20 rising talents participated in a two-day immersive experience. The lineup featured hands-on workshops, panel discussions with industry leaders, and intimate mentoring sessions. Participants received guidance from top music professionals—including renowned producers and major label executives—on songwriting, production, and navigating the business of music.

Reflecting on her journey, Tems said: “I remember how challenging it was when I first started out, having to figure everything out on my own. With this initiative, we want to create opportunities and make the journey easier for the next generation of talented women in music.”
Following its successful Lagos debut, The Leading Vibe Initiative will expand to Kenya, with applications open until August 30. Supported by partners including Native Instruments and Hennessy, the program is part of Tems’ long-term vision to establish a growing network of mentorship and support for women across Africa.
